Universal Automatic Identification SystemComparison of Electronic Chart Software Packages that can be used with the AIS 'Pilot Port'
Members of the the SouthEast Alaska Pilots' Association (www.SEAPA.com) will be comparing EC(DI)S packages on Cruise Ships this summer (2003). Several vendors have made trial copies available of their AIS Pilot Port compatible EC(DI)S package. As of today (8-12-03) this includes:
- AECDIS from ADVETO (Sweden)
- SeaPro from Euronav (UK)
- Regulus II from ICAN (Canada)
- GECDIS from SODENA (France)
- NaviSailor 3000 ECDIS from Transas Marine (UK)
The initial set of criteria that will be used to rate packages is:
